Off Key Karaoke

Starting tonight, the show at The Penalty Box in Tamarac is moving to 8:00PM - 12:00AM.  They have a bunch of regulars who are early birds so we're accomodating their request.

So come on out and enjoy a night of Karaoke hosted by Teresa.  The Penalty Box is located in the northwest corner of the shopping center located at the northwest corner of Pine Island Road and McNab.

Things started out pretty slow tonight...I was a bit worried.  We had 6 singers and it didn't look like there were many more coming.  But, it wound up turning out great. 

A couple of hours into the show, James, the owner, dropped off a pitcher of Alabama Slammers at the table...saying "here you go, share this with your singers.  It's on me".   The party definitely kicked into high gear after that! 

The band booked for the grand opening on June 30th,  Vanity Killz,  showed up and hung out with us for a while and are a great bunch.  One of the band members, Jennifer Jae, got into the rotation and belted out some awesome tunes.  (did I mention she was hot too!).  You guys definitely have to stop by The Toad and catch them on a saturday night!

Some more singers did show up and it wound up being a great night! 

With In The Biz discounts and free finger foods on Tuesday nights for Karaoke and Vanity Killz for live entertainment on Saturday Nights,  it will become the place to be in Coral Springs!

There are many things in the works for The Toad, so stay tuned.  James should be sending me the radio spot that will be starting this week promoting the place and as soon as I get it I'll post it here.

So put Tuesday nights at The Toad on your Karaoke schedule and make sure to stop by the Grand Opening Saturday, June 30th. with live entertainment provided by Vanity Killz...Its going to be one hell of a party!

All right folks.  Tonight we start our first show at what was formerly Goobs and is Now The Toad Bar and Grille in Coral Springs.  As always, Aimee will be your host for what we hope to be a great start to a new relationship.  James, the new owner has many ideas and will be promoting Tuesday nights heavily. 

So come on out and help us get this one off to a great start.  Showtime is (PM so hope to see you there.

Alright folks...just came back from a meeting with Francis and the new owner of Goobs.   This will be our last Saturday Night show at Goobs.  After this weekend the show moves to Tuesday nights....but I'll get back to that in a bit.

Francis and Daisy, the previous owners, made us all feel welcome, and always made sure we felt like we were with family.  We've enjoyed our time with them over the past year and will definitely be sad to see them go.  This Saturday will be the last saturday night show that both Francis and Daisy will be working so lets get a good crowd out to Goobs and give them a proper send-off!

On to Tuesdays.  As I mentioned, we're moving the show to Tuesday nights starting on June 26th.  The new Owner, James, will be having In The Biz specials and as soon as I get the details I'll post them here.  So come on out and get an early start to your Karaoke week next Tuesday.

It's Wednesday night and we all know what that means, one heck of a Karaoke show at Tricky Dick's in Boca Raton.   Sissy will be hosting as always, so come on out and take a mid week break to enjoy one of the best Karaoke shows in town.   Show starts at 10PM and runs until Sissy gets tired...usually around 4 in the morning!

Well, after lots of work, a new look is in place for the Off Key Karaoke Website.  The features are still pretty much the same, but I got tired of the old look and wanted something a bit "fresher" and more search engine friendly.

It figures.  The one night I don't show up to Goobs, and Sissy is covering for Aimee, we find out that Francis, the owner, has sold the bar and had the new owners there.  Sissy met them and said they seemed like really nice folks.  They want to keep the show going so lets give them something to want to keep it going for!

Francis and Daisy will both be around for a bit, so lets make sure their last few weekends at Goobs are ones to remember!  Lets get everyone out there to Goobs this coming saturday and show the new owners what an Off Key Karaoke show is really like.  Tell your friends and bring them too!  Spread the word and get everyone out there.  Hope to see you there!
